Hybrid Amplifier Excellence: PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Earns The Absolute Sound Recognition
The best of tube musicality and solid-state control, brought together in one exceptional hybrid amplifier.
What makes a truly great hybrid amplifier? For music lovers, the answer goes beyond technical specifications. It is about experiencing the emotion, detail, dynamics, and natural character of music, while enjoying the power and control needed to bring every recording to life.
The PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier was designed with exactly this philosophy in mind.
Combining a sophisticated 12AU7 tube preamplifier stage with a powerful MOSFET output stage, this award-winning hybrid amplifier brings together two distinct approaches to high-fidelity audio reproduction.
Its remarkable performance has earned recognition from one of the world's respected high-end audio publications: The Absolute Sound, which selected the PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid for its prestigious Editors' Choice Awards.
An Award-Winning Hybrid Amplifier Praised by The Absolute Sound
In his extensive review for The Absolute Sound, respected audio reviewer Dick Olsher praised the EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier for its musical performance, impressive dynamics, bass authority, and beautifully spacious soundstage.
Particularly when listening to analog sources, Olsher highlighted the amplifier's ability to reproduce music with exceptional depth, dimensionality, and natural expression.
His conclusion speaks volumes:
"This is the integrated amp I’ve been waiting decades for."
— Dick Olsher, The Absolute Sound
Such recognition reflects what PrimaLuna set out to achieve: a hybrid amplifier that combines the expressive qualities of vacuum tubes with the strength and precision of solid-state amplification, without losing sight of what matters most: the music.

What Is a Hybrid Amplifier?
A hybrid amplifier combines two different amplification technologies, typically vacuum tubes and solid-state electronics, within a single audio design.
Traditional tube amplifiers are appreciated by many audiophiles for their natural presentation, rich tonal character, and engaging musicality. Solid-state amplifiers are often valued for their power delivery, precision, and loudspeaker control.
A carefully engineered hybrid amplifier seeks to bring these qualities together.
In the PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier, six 12AU7 vacuum tubes form the heart of the preamplifier section, while the MOSFET output stage provides the power to drive the loudspeakers.
Developed through a collaboration between PrimaLuna and Floyd Design, the EVO 300 Hybrid represents a thoughtful integration of tube and transistor technology.
The objective is simple: to let listeners enjoy the beauty and emotional involvement of tube sound, complemented by the dynamics and bass control of solid-state amplification.
